Our client, a large global manufacturing, research, and development company headquartered in Chesterfield, has a wonderful opportunity for a Senior Logistics Coordinator. This role optimizes the operations and logistics efforts within the customer supply chain and the daily Order-to-Cash operations for packaged goods. This includes logistics processes and inventory management at warehouses in the US and Canada. This role also supports sales growth in the North American region while controlling logistics costs.

This contract position is in Chesterfield, MO. The position will be in the office the first 2 weeks for training and then will be hybrid position with hours 8:00am-4:30pm daily. The pay is $20.00-$21.00 per hour and the contract is for 6 months.

Day-to-day activities:

• Execute logistics processes for order fulfillment transactions. Ensure accurate and timely execution of SAP transactions.
• Supply safe, innovative and cost-effective logistics services that provide delivery of products and services as defined by leadership. Anticipate customer needs and strive to exceed customer expectations.
• Proactively support the logistics manager in the commercialization of new business by providing quality logistics input, including development and execution of plans for inventory and distribution products in the region. Provide logistical quotes and transit times.
• Maintain SAP freight cost tables and update route changes in SAP quarterly.
• Monitor delivery status via carrier TMS portals and ensure timely arrival of product and requested ETAs are met.
• Address all internal and external customer complaints promptly and appropriately to ensure zero loss of business due to company or company’s business partner’s actions or failures. Address complaints regarding logistics issues within the company’s Issues Management Tool in order to view, track and improve service levels and increase customer satisfaction.
• Support FAMI-QS audits and physical inventory counts annually at each warehouse and assist with audit requests. (travel included)
• Support company’s Government Risk and Control Matrices, in alignment with J-SOX, reflecting control points and SOX compliance within business processes as they relate to company logistics and inventory controls and achieve 100% compliance as reviewed during all audits.
• Provide on-going support to company’s 3PLs and service providers. Ensure that all phone and e-mail requests are returned promptly and on the same day as the request. Resolve all issues promptly, elevating significant issues or problems to the appropriate party when necessary.
• Prepare and submit inventory adjustment forms and arrange appropriate disposal in accordance with local and national waste management regulations.
• Support the monthly closing for all orders, inventories and transactions in a timely manner. (last day of month)
• Adhere to the Management System, Integrity System and all policies and procedures.

Who our client seeks:

• 3 years of related supply chain experience in a multi-national corporation
• Demonstrated knowledge of effective logistics solutions, order fulfillment processes, foreign trade and import/export regulations
• Proficient in SAP applications and Microsoft Office.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Maintain a high level of customer service.
• Ability to multi-task on complex projects and processes including the ability to think quickly and react appropriately under pressure.
• Detailed analytical skills are required to understand and move logistics opportunities forward given the complexity of the supply chain.
• Demonstrated negotiating skills working with logistics service contracts and operating agreements.
• Provide frequent, accurate, specific and timely feedback.
• Strong interpersonal skills are required both interdepartmentally within the company and externally with service providers and strategic partners to ensure our logistics endeavors are in full support of our growth strategy.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
