Purina Farms - Visitor's Center Guest Relations

The Visitor's Center at Purina Farms is hiring for the 2025 season! We are looking for individuals who are passionate about people AND pets to make our venue the number one place for families to learn about animals, and most importantly, have fun! Summary:

A normal day in the Visitor's Center is worked in a variety of areas, including the reception desk, exhibit area, barn loft play area, wagon, and one-on-one with animals like pigs, rabbits, and sheep. In each of these areas, guest representatives engage with guests to ensure an excellent visit to the farm.

Shifts in the Visitor's Center are between the hours of 8am and 430pm from Wednesdays to Sundays. Team members work between 16 and 36 hours each week, depending on what they prefer. This is a great job for a variety of people, from college students to retirees.

Responsibilities:

· Act as an ambassador of the facility and deliver exceptional customer service for guests of all ages.

· Engage with guests around daily programming and safety at the farm.

· Perform duties required for general maintenance, cleaning and upkeep of Purina Farms grounds and facilities. This includes areas such as the Visitor's Center and Barn.

· Assist with event set-up and tear down.

· Help educate guests on Nestle Purina PetCare Company, Purina Farms and our products as well as our commitment to responsible pet care.

Qualifications:

· Must be able to work with a variety of groups, clubs and organizations and serve as a liaison between these entities and the Purina Farms staff.

· Must be able to work under senior staff direction and guidance as well as independently.

· Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays.

· Must be able to work in all weather conditions including outdoor areas around the property.

· Some animal and pet knowledge are helpful.

· Must be able to lift, push, pull 40 lbs on occasion.

· Must be 18 or older and pass a background check and drug screen.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 32 per week
