Key Responsibilities :
Lead the development of a strong safety culture.
Analyze indicators of the companys health and safety performance.
Conduct audits of processes and facilities to ensure compliance with safety procedures and regulations.
Advise management on performance improvements and assist in developing necessary plans, policies, and procedures.
Perform hazard evaluations, risk assessments, and initiate corrective actions.
Complete incident investigations and evaluate root causes.
Serve as the point of contact for MSHA and manage required documentation.
Qualifications :
Minimum 5 years of experience in the health and safety field, specific to underground mining preferred.
Proven experience in leading the development and maintenance of a strong safety culture.
Expertise in training techniques and systems of hazard recognition and control.
Mine rescue experience.
MSHA Blue Card IU / IS / MM unlimited certification required.
Strong skills in written and verbal communication, critical thinking, and data analysis.
