Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Architect to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will assist in the design and development of architectural projects, working closely with senior architects to bring innovative ideas to life. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in architectural principles and a passion for creating functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior architects on various projects from conception through completion.
- Assist in the preparation of architectural drawings using AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, and other design software.
- Participate in site visits to assess project progress and ensure adherence to design specifications.
- Contribute to construction management tasks, including coordinating with contractors and subcontractors.
- Utilize Bluebeam for document management and collaboration during the design process.
- Support the renovation and build processes by providing detailed construction estimates.
- Engage in 3D modeling using Rhinoceros 3D and Grasshopper to visualize project designs.
- Help maintain project documentation, ensuring all records are accurate and up-to-date.
Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and ArchiCAD for drafting architectural plans.
- Familiarity with NavisWorks for project coordination and clash detection.
- Experience with construction management principles and practices.
- Knowledge of construction estimating techniques to provide accurate cost assessments.
- Ability to use Bluebeam for efficient collaboration on project documents.
- Competence in 3D modeling software such as Rhinoceros 3D and Grasshopper.
- Strong attention to detail, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with team members.
