JOB SUMMARY: This position will provide the assembly support for the Operations and will support the new product introduction (NPI) process. Position requires knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods. Under minimal supervision, assists other technicians and engineers with detailed product and/or test system evaluation or analysis. This position will be able to assist in packing, assembly, prep, build line, testing, selective, post wave, SMT set-up, Auto Set-Up, Auto-Inset, Inspection, Coating, Prototyping, and SMT.

• Assists supervisor and group leader in performance of duties.
• Maintain records.
• Keep work area in a neat, orderly and safe manner.
• Keep line clear of scrap and excess material.
• Must be willing to exercise good judgment and work overtime as required.
• Ensures ISO compliance.

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

• Performs other duties when required that are outside of normal job duties.
• May be asked to assist in other duties to ensure production needs are met in a timely manner.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have experience in a team lead role.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in global contract manufacturing and EMS industry.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The employee frequently works in outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
