Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring smooth operations within the clinic. Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment in accordance with aseptic protocols.
- Manage patient records, including medical documentation and medical records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Utilize dental software systems such as Eaglesoft for scheduling appointments and managing patient information.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the dental operatory and waiting areas.
- Support administrative tasks as required, including appointment scheduling and inventory management.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with dental terminology, procedures, and equipment.
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment.
- Experience with medical records management and documentation practices.
- Proficiency in using dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Epic is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and comfort.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- Certification in Dental Assisting or relevant qualifications is preferred but not required.
