Responsibilities
- Manage patient appointment scheduling, including confirming appointments and following up on missed appointments
- Answer patient inquiries via phone, email, and in-person communication
- Greet patients as they arrive at the office and assist with registration and paperwork
- Coordinate patient care with dental providers, including managing patient referrals and follow-up appointments
- Communicate with patients regarding treatment plans, insurance coverage, and financial responsibilities
- Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility for services
- Collect and process patient payments, including copayments and deductibles
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, and practice management software
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy in accordance with HIPAA regulations
Requirements
- Previous experience in a medical or dental office setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with dental terminology and medical office procedures is highly desirable.
- Proficient in Eaglesoft
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail, particularly in documentation review and file management.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
