We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Engineer with a strong background in the design and development of residential, commercial, and resort subdivisions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing all phases of construction projects, from conceptual design to completion, ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Manage, design, develop, create, and maintain construction projects for residential, commercial, and resort subdivisions.
- Conduct on-site investigations and analyze data such as maps, reports, tests, and drawings.
- Carry out technical and feasibility studies and draw up blueprints that satisfy technical specifications.
- Assess potential risks, materials, and costs, and provide advice on resolving any emerging problems.
- Oversee and mentor staff, liaise with a variety of stakeholders, and ensure compliance with guidelines and regulations.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and purchase equipment/materials as needed.
EDUCATION/TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field; Master’s preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Hawaii or ability to obtain.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in civil engineering, with specific experience in residential, commercial and resort subdivisions.
- Proven working experience in civil engineering with a focus on subdivision design.
- Excellent knowledge of design and visualizations software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar.
- Proficiency in site layout, grading, utility design, erosion control, and regulatory approvals.
- Strong project management and supervision skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
LOCATION: Honolulu, HI
SALARY RANGE: $90,000 – 140,000 per year depending on experience
