Key Responsibilities
The Restaurant General Manager is responsible for:
- Creating value through efficient operations, cost controls, and profit management
- Maintaining the highest level of Quality, Service, Cleanliness, and Hospitality (QSC&H) by interacting with guests during peak hours and ensuring menu items are available
- Taking an active role in guest service, monitoring employee appearance, courtesy, and suggestive selling techniques, and participating in company marketing efforts
- Controlling day-to-day operations by tracking labor and product costs, ordering supplies, maintaining inventory levels, and planning weekly schedules for restaurant employees
A successful Restaurant General Manager will have routine preventative maintenance programs in place, ensure OSHA and local health and safety codes are met, and promote a safe work environment.
