Restaurant General Managers play a critical supervisory role at KFC, providing leadership and decision-making to ensure the success and profitability of the restaurant. Restaurant General Manager job duties include:
- Recruiting, hiring, and training all restaurant staff. Establish and maintain a base number of employees for each job station, i.e., cashiers (8), packers (8) ‘can be interchanged with cashiers,’ fry cooks (6), outside maintenance (1)
- Run POS reports and take action on areas of concern
- Review weekly profit and loss statements and take necessary actions to correct deficiencies
- Scheduling employees to ensure shifts have proper coverage and meet labor budget
- Complete daily inventory of:
- Chicken
- Breading
- Seasonings
- Sides
- Drink (Soda) Syrup
- Monitoring restaurant finances, including sales and expenses
- Enforcing food handling regulations and other guidelines to increase guest safety. (Wash hands)
- Promoting the restaurant and finding ways to bring in more customers. Ensure cashiers are suggesting additional items, (At least one)
- Handling customer complaints professionally
- Completing necessary paperwork, such as sales, inventory, and staff hours worked reports
