Kforce has a client that is seeking an Accountant in Arlington, VA. Duties Include:
- Accountant will prepare and examine financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, including journal entries and reconciliations
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits
- As an Accountant, you will utilize large ERP systems, preferably SAP, to manage financial data and processes
- Support the implementation and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures
- Assist with tax filings and compliance requirements
- Provide financial analysis and reporting to support decision-making
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles
- Experience with large ERP systems, preferably SAP
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
