Big Data Developer

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client in Reston, VA that is seeking a Big Data Developer who loves solving complex problems across a full spectrum of technologies. The Big Data Developer will help ensure that our technological infrastructure operates seamlessly in support of business objectives. Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement pipelines that extract, transform, and load data
• Focus on ingesting, storing, processing, and analyzing large datasets
• Create scalable, high-performance web services for tracking data
• Translate complex technical and functional requirements into detailed designs
• Investigate alternatives for data storing and processing to ensure implementation of the most streamlined solutions
  
  

Requirements

• Good knowledge on AWS infrastructure: EMR, SQS, SNS, Lambda, S3, IAM, Glue Catalog are a must
• Excellent Python developer skills
• Experience in developing pyspark codeU
• NIX shell script experience is a plus
• Good understanding of unstructured database, such as Hive
• Excellent knowledge in writing SQL query for data ingestion and data analysis
• Must have worked with github/Terraform pipeline, or Jenkins/UCD pipeline
  
  

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
