Kforce's client, a successful, growing central New Jersey based Health Care organization is seeking a Controller. Summary: The position will report to the COO and be responsible for establishing and leading an efficient, effective accounting function. This role requires a professional, hands-on, dependable, highly motivated individual with strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills. This is an excellent opportunity to become a key part of the management team at a company that offers very competitive compensation and benefits and pleasant, professional work environment in a convenient location. In this role, you will be responsible for all accounting, financial reporting budgeting, forecasting. You will supervise a small existing staff in performing accounting functions including financial statement prep, A/P, A/R, Payroll, cash management, credit/collections and more. Over the first few months, you will assess current policies, procedures and staff performance and build out a scalable, efficient accounting/finance function. While our client is open to partial remote work, they prefer candidates who reside in NJ.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA is a plus
- 10 years of related hands-on accounting management experience in a healthcare, assisted living or related business. Exposure to Medicare, Medicaid is preferred
- Intellectual curiosity and an interest in learning all of the processes required to support this company
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; Exposure to QuickBooks and other accounting software
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as closely with a team
- Understanding of and sensitivity to confidential information

Salary : $170,000 - $230,000
