Kforce has a client that is seeking a Copywriter/Proofreader in El Segundo, CA. Summary: As a Copywriter/Proofreader within the Marketing Team, you will draw on your excellent marketing, journalistic, and narrative storytelling skills to create, edit, or enhance a wide range of communications and marketing campaigns across media, from social to digital to video, with a focus on our websites. In this role, you will support and advance the Company brand and brand narrative with original copy, eye-catching slogans, support for multimedia advertising campaigns, research and thought leadership, interviews, emails, and more. You will prove that the sometimes dry and complex world of financial services can feel like an accessible land of opportunity to both investment nerds and newbies alike. Core Responsibilities:

- Copywriter/Proofreader will collaborate with internal subject-matter experts, teams, and stakeholders across the Company organization, including senior leadership, as well as external contractors and vendors to create, update, or improve marketing-focused copy promoting Company's products and services
- Be a custodian of the Company brand voice and contribute to its evolution across all media
- Work with designers to ensure layouts, designs, images, and other visuals align with the brand while enhancing content and making it easier to access
- As a Copywriter/Proofreader, you will create, enrich, and update content for Company website
- Interview members of the more than 12,000 financial professionals Company supports to create peer-to-peer success stories, explore how they are benefiting from our services, and collaborate on new marketing materials
- Review trade publications, articles, and research to synthesize new ideas and create original thought leadership content
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Creative Writing, Psychology, or similar field or equivalent
- Three years of demonstrated work experience as a senior copywriter or 7 years of experience as a copywriter, or comparable experience
- Digital portfolio of a wide array of published work
- Punctilious writing and editing skills, with a sharp eye for clarity and consistency
- Facility with both long-form content (white papers, brochures, articles) and short-form pieces (web banners, headlines, social media posts)
- Desire to work within a collaborative environment
- Ease and comfort working across all strata of the Company organization, including senior leadership
- Facility writing across the full spectrum of voices from marketing to corporate, and an understanding of when to use each
- Proficiency within the Microsoft Office suite of products
- Ability to find the -big idea- within every communication, and communicate in a way your reader or viewer can, too
- Ability to juggle unwavering respect for the input and ideas of others with an unwavering commitment to upholding the standards of the Company brand
- Ability to manage multiple, often complex projects and deadlines concurrently
- Experience within the financial services industry
- Experience with the Drupal content management system
- Proficiency/experience with Adobe design and media tools, in particular Marketo Engage, InDesign, Spark, Premiere, and Audition
- Knowledge of SEO/keyword search best practices to increase online visibility
- A portfolio of less-corporate work demonstrating the ability to convey a narrative and hold an audience's interests, such as fiction writing, short films, animations, graphics, and the like
