Data Modeler Architect

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Data Modeler Architect in in Plano, TX. Summary: Are you passionate about designing scalable and high-performing data models? Do you thrive on transforming complex business processes into well-structured data solutions? If so, we want you on our team! We are seeking a Data Modeler with expertise in Erwin, 3NF, and Data Vault modeling to help shape our data architecture. In this role, you will work closely with business and IT teams to design optimized, efficient, and secure database structures that support our evolving data needs. Duties:

• Data Modeling & Design: Develop logical and physical data models using 3NF, Data Vault, and Star-schema techniques
• Business Process Translation: Work with stakeholders to understand complex business needs and translate them into effective data models
• Data Modeling Tools: Utilize Erwin or similar tools to create, maintain, and document data models
• Performance Optimization: Design database structures with a focus on query performance and scalability
• Cross-Platform Data Management: Work with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL, ensuring seamless integration
• Cloud & NoSQL Integration: Collaborate on cloud-based data solutions, particularly within AWS RDS and NoSQL (DynamoDB) environments
• Database Governance & Compliance: Ensure data security, integrity, and compliance with industry regulations
• Collaboration & Developer Support: Partner with developers and database administrators to implement best practices for database design
  
  

Requirements

• 5 years of experience in data modeling, with a strong foundation in 3NF, Star-schema, and Data Vault methodologies
• Hands-on experience with Erwin or similar data modeling tools
• Strong SQL skills and an understanding of query optimization
• Familiarity with cloud-based database solutions (AWS RDS experience is a plus)
• Excellent communication skills to bridge the gap between business and technical teams
• Ability to guide development teams on best practices for data modeling and database design
• Experience in the insurance industry is a plus
  
  

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
