Kforce is looking for a Database Administrator (DBA) for a contract to hire role for a client in Milwaukee, WI. This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days onsite and can sit in Milwaukee or Louisville. Summary: This person will investigate and learn new and emerging database technologies (e.g. Azure data technologies) with an eye to selecting and implementing the right solution for project teams and the business. Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:
- Build, configure, and administer new database servers, databases, objects, and ETL as required to support the business
- Monitor current databases and database servers for performance, stability, and scalability
- Develop and implement improvement plans for performance and standards
- Communicates and collaborates with project delivery teams to ensure implementation of best practices and continuous improvement
- Mentor delivery teams on best practices
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field preferred, or combination of experience and education
- Minimum two years of experience in a technical role with Microsoft SQL Server, SQL Reporting Services
- Demonstrates experience with and interest in Cloud and next-Generation data technologies (e.g. Azure Data Services, Power BI, Alteryx, SSAS Tabular, etc.)
- We are searching for a candidate who is proficient in the Operational Space (back-ups, installs, service, tunning and more)
- Demonstrates working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server
- Demonstrates working knowledge of T-SQL and PowerShell
- Demonstrate ability to develop, communicate and train on best practices
- Business analysis experience with ability to translate technical information to a non-technical audience
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects
- Ability to work in a 24x7 support environment, participate in an on-call rotation, and have experience responding to client needs as raised in Service Desk tickets
- Understanding of change management methodologies is a plus

Salary : $35 - $50
