Responsibilities
Kforce's client, an industry-leading healthcare client located in San Francisco, CA, is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Food Services to oversee the daily operations of their nutritional services department, including managing dietitians and ensuring top-tier patient care and food services. This role will drive improvements in productivity, care experience, and budget management, while maintaining a strong focus on quality, regulatory compliance, and vendor relationships. This position is onsite 5 days a week in San Francisco across three locations. This is contract to hire, and expect to convert to FTE very early in assignment.
- Manage and guide a team of dietitians and staff to ensure efficient operation of nutritional services
- Drive recruitment, selection, and development of talent, ensuring alignment with organizational needs
- Empower and motivate teams by aligning resource plans with business objectives and fostering continuous learning
- Oversee the management of food services operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards
- Analyze resources, costs, and forecasts to incorporate them into business plans, prioritizing and distributing resources effectively
- Lead strategic planning, procurement, inventory management, and storage to maintain efficient food services
- Revise and implement company standards for cleaning and sanitizing procedures to meet regulatory and compliance guidelines
- Ensure vendor contracts are in place, and establish performance metrics to ensure service delivery is safe, sanitary, and compliant
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with vendors, ensuring services align with organizational needs and regulatory standards
- Oversee food procurement, storage, and distribution, directing strategic planning for inventory and ensuring proper usage and compliance
- Lead quality improvement initiatives to ensure high service standards are met consistently
