Kforce has a client in Chicago, IL that is seeking an Endpoint Engineer. Key Responsibilities:
- Endpoint Management: Oversee the deployment, management, and optimization of Windows endpoints in a hybrid environment utilizing both on-premises and cloud-based tools (Intune/Azure)
- Automation and Scripting: Develop and implement automation solutions using PowerShell to improve efficiency and scalability in endpoint management tasks
- System Design and Implementation: Document current state workflows, design infrastructure improvements, and deploy scalable endpoint solutions to support high-performance trading operations
- Software Deployment: Manage the deployment of applications using tools like Intune, Altiris, or equivalent, ensuring minimal downtime and high accuracy
- Urgent Support Escalation: Act as a critical escalation point for endpoint-related issues, maintaining SLAs in a high-pressure trading environment
- Cross-Platform Expertise: Provide basic Linux troubleshooting support and maintain familiarity with Mac management tools (e.g., Jamf)
- Collaborative Development: Work closely with traders, service desk personnel, and other IT staff to align technical solutions with business needs
- Process Improvement: Contribute to the selection and adoption of ticketing and workflow tools, such as Jira, to enhance operational visibility and prioritization
- 10 years of experience managing Windows endpoints in high-performance environments
- Advanced PowerShell scripting experience with a focus on automation-first solutions
- Proficiency in Intune/Azure for endpoint management in hybrid environments
- Deep knowledge of Windows OS and deployment best practices (e.g., patching, OS updates)
- Basic Linux troubleshooting skills (e.g., mounting drives, cleaning up disk space)
- Familiarity with Mac environments and tools like Jamf
- Creative, self-driven problem solver capable of developing innovative automation workflows
- Strong communication skills for translating technical details to team members and stakeholders
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Red Hat, or similar)
- Experience in highly regulated industries, such as finance or healthcare
- Familiarity with workflow tools like Jira or ServiceNow
- Onsite presence three days a week minimum (Tuesday-Thursday preferred)
- Flexibility available for candidates willing to work additional days in the office
- Ability to thrive in high-urgency environments with tight SLAs and demanding operational standards
