A client with Kforce is seeking a Financial Analyst III to join their team. This is a hybrid opportunity with Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday in office and Thursday and Friday work from home. Responsibilities:
- Creates and analyzes monthly, quarterly, and annual reports with financial or operational information
- Develops modeling, forecasting, and other analytical tools to improve processing, decision-making and reporting for different client entities when needed
- Designs and analyzes dues reporting and financial trends using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation via statistical analysis to complex data mining
- Plans, organizes and manages various projects and other resources in a timely and efficient manner
- Works with other functional areas to establish performance and operational metrics to improve and measure capability across the organization
- Makes key decisions regarding the design and approach of business solutions with minimal supervision
- Develops and applies leadership and team building skills. In addition, will help support the other members of the analytical team
- Review of financial system information to identify problems in reporting; Report to Director of Accounting any anomalies and ensure system reporting is materially correct; Identify problems which can be resolved by Management for future reporting periods; Create reports as needed to provide data needed by management and staff accountants to support the financial reporting process
- Developing models and forecasts, utilization of analytical tools and generation of non-system reporting including ad hoc reports as needed
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, MIS or Business, or equivalent work experience required; CPA, MBA, or CFA preferred
- 5 years of experience in financial or operational analysis, budgeting or forecasting; Previous leadership experience preferred
- 4-5 years finance experience in a corporate environment
- Unless there is a legal requirement, experience will be accepted for the education requirement
- Advanced knowledge of excel required and access databases
- Database and statistical modeling experience preferred
- Relational database experience
- Oracle Business Intelligence Systems knowledge preferred
- Excellent strategic, analytical and creative thinking aptitude in both an independent and team environment
- Working knowledge of financial and statistical analysis
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently, be well organized
- Must be able to communicate effectively with senior management and peers
- This position works under deadlines and pressure and candidate must be able to make prompt, accurate decisions
