Summary: We are seeking a results-driven IT Security Engineer to play a pivotal role in advancing our organization's security posture. This role focuses on maintaining and optimizing our comprehensive security tools stack to ensure robust, up-to-date security across all platforms. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in IT security best practices, application security, and managing cloud/on-premises infrastructure. You will lead high-impact security projects, foster collaboration, and empower the security team through knowledge sharing. Key Responsibilities:

You will lead high-impact security projects, foster collaboration, and empower the security team through knowledge sharing. Key Responsibilities:
- IT Security Engineer will maintain uptime and operational efficiency for the security tools stack (e.g., SIEM, EDR, NDR, VM, WAF, firewalls, email security, IAM)
- Implement updates and configurations aligned with security leadership objectives within predefined SLAs
- Triage and remediate vulnerabilities within policy-defined timelines
- Reduce security incidents through proactive incident management and root cause analysis
- Serve as the SME for AWS Security, implementing best practices tailored to cloud environments
- As an IT Security Engineer, you will achieve measurable improvements in cloud security posture on a quarterly basis
- Lead end-to-end security projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with leadership priorities and compliance mandates
- Successfully deliver assigned security projects annually
- Ensure accuracy and currency of security documentation, including policies, procedures, and architectural diagrams
- Conduct quarterly reviews and provide actionable updates
- Work cross-functionally to assess and mitigate risks, achieving a year-over-year reduction in identified risks
- Deliver effective security guidance and training to internal teams
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- CISSP certification or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
- 7 years in IT, including 5 years in IT Security
- Proven expertise in security implementation within cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Proficiency in security engineering, network security, authentication protocols, cryptography, and compliance frameworks
- Strong integrity, accountability, and collaboration
- Commitment to continuous learning and process improvement
