Lead Merchant - Category Merchandising

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client in Beaverton, OR that is seeking a Lead Merchant who will lead and own a business for a diverse portfolio of footwear products for the entire NA Marketplace. Summary: This role requires the ability to partner with key x-functionally (Planning, Account Merchandising, Marketing and Sales) to ensure consumer-focused merchandising strategy tailored to the geography, build and sell in consumer-focused assortments. Having a strategic vision, strong communication skills to influence a point of view, marketplace & consumer knowledge, and the ability to span multiple seasons will be critical for this role to create impact, fuel healthy growth, and drive results in this key account. Building trust, relationships and a strong team culture while leading with courage through ambiguity will be critical to success. We are looking for an individual with footwear experience in Retail or Sporting Goods business. Overview:

• Scope: Multiple teams, big projects/programs, and/or large team presentations
• Complexity: Integrates and communicates moderately complex information, sometimes to audiences who are not familiar with the subject matter. Acts as a resource to teammates
• Completes work independently with review at critical points; Requires guidance only on complex issues
• Problem Solving: Independently utilizes knowledge, skills, and abilities to identify areas of opportunity, resolve complex problems & navigate solutions
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required in the relevant or a related field, or any acceptable combination of education and experience equivalent
• To be considered for this position, candidates must have experience in a similar role, or they must possess significant knowledge, experience, and abilities to successfully perform the responsibilities listed
• Relevant education and/or training will be considered a plus
  
  

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
