A client of Kforce's local to Colorado is hiring a contractor for the management of Microsoft software. The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance, optimizing costs, and providing support to stakeholders on all Microsoft software matters. This is a fully remote, year long contract. Licensing Management:

- Utilize ServiceNow to track and manage Microsoft licenses for all state agencies
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of Microsoft licensing models, including Enterprise Agreements, Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) programs, and other relevant licensing options
- Administer and manage Microsoft software licenses across all agencies, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements
- Track license usage, renewals, and true-ups to maintain accurate records and optimize costs
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their software needs and ensure appropriate licensing
- Negotiate and procure Microsoft licenses cost-effectively
- Stay informed of changes and updates to Microsoft licensing policies and programs to ensure optimal procurement strategies
- Maintain strong relationships with Microsoft and Insight (reseller) representatives to facilitate efficient procurement processes
- Contribute to the development and implementation of SAM policies and procedures, including workflows within ServiceNow, to ensure compliance across all agencies
- Conduct regular audits of Microsoft software licenses across all agencies to identify and address any compliance issues
- Provide guidance and support to stakeholders on Microsoft licensing matters, including licensing models, compliance requirements, and cost optimization strategies
- Maintain accurate records of all licensing agreements, purchases, and usage to support reporting and analysis
- Generate regular reports on licensing compliance, costs, and usage trends to inform stakeholders and facilitate decision-making
- A degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field
- Microsoft licensing certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Licensing Specialist) or similar qualifications would be a plus
- Proven experience in licensing management, with a strong focus on Microsoft software and licensing models (e.g., Enterprise Agreements, Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) programs)
- In-depth understanding of Microsoft licensing structures, procurement processes, and compliance requirements
- Experience with ServiceNow for tracking and managing software licenses and related workflows
- Ability to provide clear guidance and support to stakeholders on Microsoft licensing matters, including compliance requirements, licensing models, and cost optimization strategies
