Kforce is seeking a skilled and experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) for an opportunity with a large financial organization in downtown Kansas City, MO. Summary: The Oracle DBA is responsible for managing and maintaining our database systems to ensure optimal performance, security, and availability. You will work closely with our IT and development teams to support our Oracle and DB2 database infrastructure and provide guidance on database-related matters. Key Responsibilities

- Oracle DBA will manage and maintain Oracle databases, including Oracle RAC, ASM, RMAN to ensure high availability and performance
- Perform database administration tasks such as installation, configuration, upgrading, and patching of Oracle and DB2 databases
- Monitor database performance, identify issues, and implement solutions to optimize performance
- Ensure database security by implementing and maintaining appropriate security measures
- As an Oracle DBA, you will perform backup and recovery operations to ensure data integrity and availability
- Collaborate with development teams to design and implement database solutions that meet business requirements
- Provide support for database-related issues and troubleshoot problems as they arise
- Document database configurations, procedures, and best practices
- Stay up to date with the latest database technologies and trends
- Database Management Systems (DBMS): Proficiency in managing Oracle and DB2 databases, including Oracle RAC, ASM, and RMAN
- Database Administration: Skills in installation, configuration, upgrading, and patching of Oracle and DB2 databases
- Performance Monitoring: Ability to monitor database performance, identify issues, and implement optimization solutions
- Security: Knowledge of implementing and maintaining database security measures

- Collaboration: Ability to work closely with development teams to design and implement database solutions that meet business requirements
- Troubleshooting: Strong problem-solving skills to support and troubleshoot database-related issues
- Documentation: Proficiency in documenting database configurations, procedures, and best practices
- Continuous Learning: Commitment to staying up to date with the latest database technologies and trends
- Operating Systems: Experience with AIX operating system platforms is preferred
