Project Overview: This initiative is focused on cataloging previously invisible network components, including amplifiers, power extenders, taps, and other critical infrastructure. The project has successfully implemented a standardized asset tagging system, providing detailed device information and improving visibility across Company's network. - The Technical Delivery Manager will serve as a bridge between field operations, IT, and software development teams, ensuring seamless communication and execution
- Cross-functional Leadership: Act as the liaison between field technicians, maintenance teams, and software developers
- Application Roadmap Strategy: Work with leadership to assess and drive product roadmap enhancements
- Stakeholder Coordination: Lead cross-functional meetings, align teams, and manage project dependencies
- Technician Training: Implement training programs for 4,700 technicians on new equipment functionalities
- Program Oversight: Identify gaps, improve efficiencies, and optimize software integration with CPE devices
- Budget Awareness: Contribute to financial decision-making related to project execution
Technical Requirements
- The role demands strong expertise in CPE devices, DOCSIS, and Distributed Access Architecture (DAA), alongside project and program management proficiency
- Product Lifecycle Understanding: Knowledge of CPE devices and product evolution within the telecom industry
- Understanding of Hi-Split architecture and its impact on network performance
- Awareness of challenges related to expanding the return path from 206 MHz to 600 MHz.
- Field Operations Insight: Familiarity with Outside Plant (OSP) infrastructure and maintenance operations
- Jira (all development team stories are managed here)
- Tableau, MS Project, Excel, Smartsheet
- Strong Communication & Execution Skills: Ability to influence priorities, manage execution, and follow through on commitments
- Cable Infrastructure Knowledge: Understanding of network components such as nodes, amps, line extenders, taps, and Remote PHY
- Prior experience at telecom company
- Background in product management/ownership (PM/Program Management experience is more critical)
- Experience integrating software solutions with hardware devices
- Maintenance Technician experience transitioning into a Project Management role
- Proactive and Self-Sufficient: Capable of managing multiple stakeholders and driving progress independently
- Effective Communicator: Ability to translate field operations needs into actionable technical requirements
- Hands-on Technical Delivery Expertise: Strong understanding of product lifecycles and software/hardware integration
- Strong Organizational Skills: Ability to balance multiple initiatives and manage competing priorities effectively
