Python Developer

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client in Newark, NJ that is seeking a skilled Backend Python Developer to design and implement server-side logic, maintain databases, and ensure high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front end. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Python and familiar with web frameworks, API design, and database management. Responsibilities:

• Python Developer will develop and maintain scalable backend applications using Python
• Design and implement RESTful APIs for front-end integration
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
• As a Python Developer, you will manage database systems (SQL/NoSQL) and ensure data integrity
• Troubleshoot and debug applications to improve functionality and performance
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends
  
  

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Backend Developer, preferably with Python
• Experience with RESTful API development and integration
• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Strong understanding of web frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask)
• Understanding of cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus
• Familiarity with database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB)
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  
  

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
