QA Engineer (Cloud Migration Support)

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client that is seeking a QA Engineer (Cloud Migration Support) in Durate, CA. Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Engineer to support a healthcare provider's cloud migration initiative. This role will involve testing and validating the migration of data marts from on-premise systems to the Snowflake platform to ensure accuracy, performance, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in quality assurance processes for data-centric projects, with a focus on cloud platforms and ETL pipelines. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and cases for validating data migration to Snowflake
• Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to understand migration requirements and identify potential risks or gaps
• Perform data integrity, accuracy, and completeness checks post-migration
• Test and validate ETL processes, ensuring optimized performance and scalability
• Monitor and report defects, track resolution progress, and ensure thorough re-testing
• Create and maintain detailed documentation of test processes and results
• Ensure compliance with data security, privacy, and regulatory standards throughout the migration process
  
  

Requirements

• Proven experience in quality assurance for data migration or cloud-based projects
• Experience with testing ETL processes and validating large-scale data migrations
• Strong knowledge of Snowflake and related cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Proficiency in writing SQL queries for data validation and troubleshooting
• Familiarity with test automation tools for data pipelines (a plus)
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively within remote, distributed teams
  
  

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
