Senior Battery Simulation SW Engineer

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client in Cupertino, CA that is seeking a Senior Battery Simulation SW Engineer to develop software tools that support battery modeling, simulation, and data analysis. Summary: This role will focus on automating workflows, implementing physics-based battery models, and creating tools to parameterize models using experimental data. The Senior Battery Simulation SW Engineer will work closely with engineers to accelerate innovation in battery performance and system simulation.

Requirements

• BS at a minimum, MS or PhD preferred
• Strong skills in mathematical modeling of linear and nonlinear dynamical systems and distributed parameter systems
• Proficient in MATLAB, C , and/or other programming languages
• Experience with parameter estimation, numerical simulation, and optimization
• General understanding of Li-ion battery modeling. Knowledge in detailed battery modeling and electrochemistry is a plus
• Experience in COMSOL is preferred
• Programming: MATLAB, Python, C
• Simulation & Modeling: Physics-based modeling, numerical solvers, battery models
• Version Control & Collaboration: Git, GitHub
  
  

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
