- Support the Telecom Manager in planning and implementing telecom projects from initiation to completion
- The Senior Telecommunications Technician will ensure timely delivery of telecom services and solutions
- Assess and recommend telecom service providers, hardware, and software
- Provide training to staff on telecom systems and ongoing technical support
- Maintain productivity by assisting the U/X team with telecom needs
- Travel to office locations across the five boroughs as needed
- Utilize ticketing systems to address inquiries, resolve issues, and perform onsite repairs
- Provide technical guidance on hardware, software, and telecom-related needs
- Create user-facing instructional documentation, including user guides and technical materials
- Conduct research and comparative analysis for end-user hardware and software solutions
- Participate in A/V projects and provide technical expertise to ensure continuity in operations
- Deliver excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- The Senior Telecommunications Technician will train staff on the use of telecommunication equipment
- Assist the Director of U/X and Manager of A/V with research, feedback surveys, and pilot projects
- Provide technical leadership, ensuring knowledge transfer to IT personnel
- Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years of experience in technical and end-user support, or equivalent education and experience
- Experience as a telecom technician or in a similar role
- Experience with Avaya Cloud, Spectrum Cloud, and Genesys Cloud technologies
- Experience with installation, configuration, and maintenance of voice, data, and video networks
- Knowledge of configuring, deploying, and troubleshooting Spectrum VOIP phones
- Able to perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on VOIP and telecom equipment
- Strong understanding of telecommunications systems, protocols, and technologies (e.g., VOIP, fiber optics, DSL)
- Basic networking knowledge, including TCP/IP ports and basic routing fundamentals
- Troubleshooting skills for iOS and Android devices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with end users, IT teams, and organizational leadership
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and under pressure
- Commitment to integrity, confidentiality, and respect in all aspects of work
- Leadership skills, including delegation, accountability, and performance feedback
- Experience with audio/video amplification and cabling is a plus
