Software Tester

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Software Tester in Huntsville, AL.

Requirements

• Proven experience designing, planning, and developing test plans, cases, and scenarios using industry best practices
• Experience in using tracking tools, such as Azure DevOps, to document and resolve issues
• Experience in identifying, documenting, and tracking software defects using DevOps platforms like Azure, JIRA, or platforms
• Experience working with browser-based content rendering and testing graphical interfaces
• Experience working with integrated testing environments and debugging tools
• Knowledge of graphic formats such as CGM, SVG, and other similar formats used in technical publications
• Knowledge of quality assurance best practices and documentation standards
• Familiarity with automation frameworks and coding languages for testing, such as C# or Python
• Familiarity with WPF, XAML, and .NET platforms to understand the software's architecture and workflows
• Strong understanding of XML structures and their transformation into HTML outputs with CSS styling and JavaScript functionality
• Strong understanding of software testing processes and methodologies
• Proficiency in creating, executing, and maintaining automated test scripts using tools like TestComplete or equivalent
• Exceptional attention to detail and a systematic approach to testing
• Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong command of the English language
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify root causes of defects
• Demonstrate the ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a team
• Ability to set up and manage automated test environments, ensuring comprehensive test coverage
• Ability to use JavaScript in conjunction with testing tools to create script modules that implement test scenarios
• Ability to validate XML data conformity to military and industry standards such as MIL-STD-40051 and S1000D
  
  

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
