Kforce has a client in Somerset, NJ that is looking to hire a Staff Accountant to join their growing team. This position is open in addition to head count and will be five days in the office. Full benefits year-end bonus. Responsibilities Include:

- Staff Accountant will prepare journal entries and record month-end close transactions
- Reconcile general ledger and bank account activity
- Assist with financial statement preparation and year-end audit
- As a Staff Accountant, you will assist with collections activity as needed
- Provide support to accounts receivable and account payable functions as needed
- Provide support to accounting management (billing, sales tax, monthly reporting etc.)
- Manage special projects as requested
- Accounting or Finance degree
- Current hands-on experience in QuickBooks/ERP accounting software required (2-3 years)
- Hands-on experience with month-end close process
- Solid knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Proficiency in Excel (intermediate level)
- Keen attention to detail
- Proactive problem-solver and team player
- Knowledge of inventory activities preferred but not required
