Staff Accountant

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client in Cranston, RI that is seeking a Staff Accountant. Financial Accounting:

• In this role, the Staff Accountant performs day-to-day general accounting activities: journal entries, account reconciliations, to ensure compliance with established accounting policies, practices and procedures
• Complete month-end closing activities such as preparing and reviewing reconciliations and journal entries related to cash, prepaid expenses, accrued expenses, and other areas
• Perform financial analysis of various balance sheet and income statement accounts to support business
• Prepare supporting schedules for external auditors for quarterly and year-end audits
  
  

Account And Cost Analysis

• The Staff Accountant will review purchase order cost confirmations from vendors to identify issues and resolve them using internal product information management systems
• Develop and implement accounting procedures by evaluating current procedures and recommend changes as the team and company scale
• Contribute to department and organization special projects as assigned
  
  

Requirements

• 1 years of accounting experience
• Advanced Excel experience
  
  

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
