Overview: The Tech Prof - QA/QC will play a key role in ensuring the quality and compliance of products and systems with industry standards. Working under general supervision, this position is responsible for conducting quality audits, identifying opportunities for improvement, and providing technical support for materials engineering activities, nondestructive examination, and welding engineering. The role supports ongoing Quality Management System (QMS) improvements and maintenance, including vendor audits to enhance incoming supplies. Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute Quality Assurance/Quality Control audits in alignment with standards such as ISO 9000
- Assess and document compliance with quality system standards
- Identify and implement quality improvement opportunities based on audit findings
- Conduct vendor audits to ensure the quality of incoming supplies
- Plan, direct, and provide technical support for materials testing and design activities
- Offer technical support for nondestructive examination and welding engineering
- Collaborate with teams to perform quality inspections on products following engineering drawings, specifications, methods, and instructions
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering required
- Minimum 7 years of experience in a Quality Assurance/Quality Control role
- Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies
- Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, API Q1) and interpreting them effectively
- Expertise in internal auditing processes and practices
- Proven ability to manage change and drive process improvements
- Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Top Skills Needed: Managing Change; Lean or Six Sigma methodologies; Internal Auditing
- Experience with QMS improvements and maintenance
- Collaborative team player with strong communication skills
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
