Wireless Test Engineer

Responsibilities

Kforce is immediately seeking an experienced Wireless Test Engineer in support of our enterprise telecommunications and mass media client based in Greenwood Village, CO. Responsibilities:

• Testing of new Wi-Fi core solutions, including features, firmware updates and configurations related to Wireless Lan Controllers (WLCs), access points (APs) and gateways
• Dedicated dev test resource capable of addressing both L2 and L3 networking aspects particularly with complex routing and monitoring analysis
• Engaged in testing scenarios involving traffic balancing, roaming failover mechanisms, enhanced encryption, and Quality of Service (QoS) across L2 and L3 layers
• Support the dev wireless engineers in diagnosing root cause when simulating errors in lab after production issues are reported
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience
• Cisco Certified Wireless Network Professional (CCNP), Wireless industry and vendor specific training (Cisco, Ariss, Ruckus, etc.)
• 5 years of Wireless network experience
• 2- 5 years of experience
• Proficient knowledge of related wireless industry specifications and standards IEEE, ANSI, 802.11 variants, Bridging, Switching, Routing, Ethernet and Transport technologies and protocols
• Proficient knowledge in wireless network design, wireless network architecture, protocols and wireless network topology
• Proficient knowledge of basic wireless network devices and basic wireless network appliances
• Proficient knowledge of wireless network designing software, such as Visio and knowledge of Microsoft Office
  
  

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
