Kforce has a client that is seeking a remote (up to 30% travel) Workday Finance Functional Consultant to join their team. Key Tasks:
- Workday Finance Functional Consultant will lead the configuration, implementation, and maintenance of Workday Financial Management modules, including but not limited to Financial Accounting, Procurement, Spend Management, and Reporting
- Collaborate with business users and technical teams to understand business requirements, design functional solutions, and ensure alignment with organizational goals
- Provide subject matter expertise in financial processes, controls, and reporting to ensure the system is configured to meet business needs
- Support clients through all phases of the Workday implementation lifecycle, from requirement gathering to go-live and post-go-live support
- Work closely with project teams to develop and execute testing strategies, including UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and system validation
- As a Workday Finance Functional Consultant, you will troubleshoot and resolve functional issues, ensuring the system is performing optimally for financial operations
- Lead training sessions for end users to ensure they understand system functionality and best practices
- Maintain and update knowledge of Workday updates, enhancements, and industry best practices to ensure clients are taking full advantage of new features and capabilities
- Provide ongoing support and system optimization post-implementation to ensure long-term success
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- Proven experience (2 years) working with Workday Financial Management modules (e.g., Accounting, Procurement, Spend Management)
- Strong understanding of financial business processes, accounting principles, and financial reporting
- Experience with Workday implementation and integration projects
- Ability to configure and troubleshoot Workday Financial Management modules effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and interact with stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
- Workday certification in Financial Management (preferred)
- Knowledge of financial reporting and analytics within Workday is a plus
