RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's notable utilty client is looking for a Agile Coach - Expert to join their Bay Area team.
Summary:
As an Agile Coach, you will identify opportunities for Lean and Agile transformation, and lead the development of strategies and documentation to support IT's shift toward a more adaptive, customer-focused mindset. This work promotes flexibility and aligns Lean and Agile initiatives with the organization's strategic objectives, while also assessing and scaling Agile practices across teams or departments using frameworks such as SAFe, LeSS, or Disciplined Agile.
Responsibilities:
* Evaluate current Lean and Agile practices, identify strengths, weaknesses, and make improvement recommendations
* Create actionable improvement strategies, plans, and roadmaps
* Develop and deliver tailored coaching plans for teams and leaders
* Document best practices, case studies, standards, and lessons learned
* Educate teams and leadership on Lean and Agile principles and frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, SAFe)
* Conduct workshops, training sessions, and ongoing coaching
* Evaluate current frameworks and recommend the most appropriate ones for IT needs
* Mentor team members on Lean and Agile roles (e.g., Scrum Master, Product Owner)
* Establish effective feedback loops through retrospectives and continuous improvement sessions
* Facilitate cross-team collaboration and integration of Agile practices across the organization
* Define KPIs and metrics to track transformation success and adjust accordingly
REQUIREMENTS:
* Certifications
* Lean/Agile achievements
* Tenure in roles
* Deep knowledge and hands-on experience with Lean and Agile methodologies
* Proven ability to coach and mentor individuals and teams in Agile roles
* Experience developing and executing transformation strategies and roadmaps
* Strong facilitation and training skills, including workshops and executive coaching
* Ability to align Agile practices with strategic organizational goals
* Experience with scaling frameworks (e.g., SAFe, LeSS, Disciplined Agile)
* Analytical skills to define metrics and evaluate progress
* Excellent communication and leadership coaching capabilities
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
