RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Battery Cell Process Engineering Tech in Cupertino, CA.
Summary:
The Hardware Technology Group is looking for a Process Engineering Technician who will support process engineering involved in battery cell fabrication with new methodologies. The candidate will apply the coin/pouch cell fabrication experience plus cell data collection in the batch scale for NPI and RnD.
Responsibilities:
* (Electrochemical) methodology development and execution for Battery Algorithm team and for other internal battery cell technology teams
* Pushing the methodology into batch scale level that meets both NPI and RnD activities
* Hands-on for both coin-type and pouch-type cells
* Electrochemical evaluation and further improve the data consistency
REQUIREMENTS:
* BS with relevant battery industrial experience or Masters with lab experience
* Proven experience in Lithium-ion cell fabrication, and process development; Including coin type and pouch type form factor cells
* Cell qualification, electrochemical analysis/qualification would be a plus (e.g., (DC(HPPC pause) by Maccor cycler and AC(EIS) evaluation) by Biologic potential stat; Understanding of symmetric cell, three electrode, impedance is a plus
* Strong engineering fundamentals and helping to push the methodology, with excellent verbal skills for cross functional team projects
* Proven ability to work independently under fast pace dynamic environment
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
