RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Draper, UT that is seeking a Technical Business Analyst - Business Process Mapping with FTP expertise.
Summary:
As a Technical Business Analyst, you will bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions. Your primary focus will be analyzing and mapping business processes, including sophisticated FTP workflows, identifying areas for improvement, and collaborating with stakeholders and developers to implement effective changes. You will leverage your technical expertise and business acumen to ensure projects align with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Process Mapping and Analysis:
* Analyze existing business processes, including file transfer workflows, to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement
* Develop detailed process maps and documentation using tools like Visio, Lucidchart, or similar platforms
* Collaborate with stakeholders to define and document "as-is" and "to-be" business processes, focusing on sophisticated FTP-based operations
Requirements Gathering:
* Elicit, document, and prioritize business and technical requirements through interviews, workshops, and analysis of existing systems
* Translate business requirements into functional specifications for technical teams
FTP Workflow Mapping:
* Analyze and optimize workflows involving File Transfer Protocol (FTP) systems
* Collaborate with IT teams to design and implement efficient FTP solutions for file transfers across systems
* Ensure security, accuracy, and compliance in FTP processes
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
* Act as a liaison between business units and technical teams to ensure clear communication and alignment
* Facilitate meetings to gather input, validate findings, and achieve consensus on proposed solutions
REQUIREMENTS:
* 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, or related role
* Proven experience in business process mapping, optimization, and documentation
* Strong experience with FTP workflows and systems is preferred
* Proficiency with business process mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart, or similar)
* Strong knowledge of File Transfer Protocol (FTP) processes and systems is heavily preferred
* Analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
* Familiarity with technical concepts, system integrations, and software development processes
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
