RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is seeking a detail-oriented and inquisitive Business Analyst to support our fast-paced software development teams at a leading mass media organization in Maryland Heights, MO. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on collaboration with stakeholders, has a solid understanding of software development life cycles, and can translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements.
Responsibilities:
* The Business Analyst will gather, document, and manage business and functional requirements for software development initiatives
* Collaborate with product managers, developers, QA engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables
* Create and manage tickets in JIRA (Wrike experience is a plus) to track project progress and issue resolution
* Analyze data trends and provide insights to drive business decisions
* Perform basic SQL queries, including joins, to support data validation and analysis
* The Business Analyst will interpret and document JSON data structures to support API and integration-related tasks
* Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives as part of an agile SDLC team
REQUIREMENTS:
* 3 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role
* Hands-on experience using JIRA (or Wrike) for project tracking and task management
* Proven ability to work closely with stakeholders to elicit and document requirements
* Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies
* Strong analytical skills with basic SQL proficiency, including joins and data validation
* Ability to interpret and work with JSON structures
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Skills:
* Experience supporting marketing or mass communication efforts within a media environment
* Familiarity with Wrike (if not already using JIRA)
* Background in data analytics, user behavior analysis, or campaign performance tracking
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
