RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer - API Management in West Des Moines, IA.
Summary:
We are seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer with a strong focus on Azure API Management. In this role, you will design, implement, operate, and manage cloud platform components and solutions, emphasizing seamless integration for scale and availability. You will collaborate with stakeholder teams to ensure our cloud platform services meet diverse business needs efficiently and effectively.
Duties:
* Cloud Platform Management: Lead the design, implementation, and management of Azure API Management solutions within our cloud ecosystem
* Monitoring & Maintenance: Perform continuous monitoring and maintenance of cloud platform technologies using advanced tools to ensure performance, availability, scalability and security
* Integration & Automation: Enhance service integration and API orchestration, streamlining processes and improving efficiencies by leveraging Infrastructure as Code and DevOps practices
* Optimization: Continuously optimize resources for cost, performance, and scalability while ensuring compliance with industry standards
* Support & Strategy Communication: Deliver technical support and communicate platform strategies clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
* Documentation & Learning: Maintain comprehensive documentation and stay updated with the latest relevant trends, tools, and best practices
REQUIREMENTS:
* Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field experience is preferred
* Experience: At least 8 years in technical engineering roles with 2 years focusing on cloud platform management, with specific preference for Azure API Management
* Development Skills: Minimum 3 years of experience in application or data solution development is preferred
* Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal skills for engaging with both technical and business stakeholders
* Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex integration issues
* Travel Requirements: Occasional travel (around 5%) for team collaboration and professional development opportunities
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
