RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is seeking a Content Licensing Specialist (CLS). This is a remote role. The CLS is responsible for directing and overseeing the research and licensing of third-party assets for clients. This role involves close collaboration with managers, authors, editors, and project managers to ensure assets align with the client's rights strategy and project execution is on time and within budget.
Responsibilities:
* Rights Management: Expert on all rights management requirements in accordance with copyright laws and standards; Assess risk for all deliverables and problem-solve
* Asset Research and Licensing: Direct the research, selection, and clearance of rights for third-party content for print and digital products; Negotiate licensing terms and rates with copyright holders.
* Collaboration: Work with authors and editors on content planning, providing feedback to minimize problems; Collaborate with freelance photo researchers, stock houses, product developers, editors, designers, and in-house production staff
* Quality Assurance: Ensure quality is met on all programs by building alliances with freelance research and digital asset resources; Review and monitor the quality of work done by external team members
* Project Management: Establish schedules and budgets with internal and external teams; Manage schedules and costs for all assigned work
REQUIREMENTS:
* 2-5 years of reverse research experience
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment
* Excellent communication skills, inquisitive mindset, and confidence
* Experience with copyright or law permissions
* Licensing experience
* Ability to identify third-party content
* Publishing experience is a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
