RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Redmond, VA that is seeking a Data and Analytics Engineer.
Responsibilities:
* Data and Analytics Engineer will design and build Microsoft SQL Server in datacenters and Azure
* Design and implement intelligent, predictable, reliable, scalable, cost-efficient, and easy-to-use platforms and frameworks for Data Science Machine Learning (DSML), Enterprise Data Lake/Warehouse (EDL/EDW), Master Data Management (MDM) functions
* Design, implement, maintain cloud platform infrastructure
* Evaluate and automate the scaling and capacity requirements within Azure environment
* Implement Azure cloud capabilities
* Implement, setup, configure, monitor, and maintain cloud-based Data & Analytics platforms
* As a Data and Analytics Engineer, you will make recommendations and execute cost saving strategies for Cloud services
* Streamline development and operation processes via continuous integration, deployment, automated testing while leveraging SRE principles
* Drive efficient resolution for system outages as well as performance and functional shortcomings. Engage in critical support situations and effectively, efficiently, and quickly drive successful resolution
* Design and implement solutions that leverage cloud services such as serverless computing, containers, and data lakes
REQUIREMENTS:
* 7 years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server (2016-2022) in an enterprise-level environment, including setup, security, monitoring, maintenance, and performance tuning
* 5 years of experience with Azure SQL, SQL Managed Instance, and SQL Server on Azure Virtual Machines
* 5 years of Cloud Platform Engineering experience in an enterprise-level environment
* 5 years of DevOps experience with a clear understanding of related tools, structure, and processes working in an Agile/Scrum setting
* 3 years of experience leading the end-to-end design and development of scalable services to be consumed by the enterprise, including monitoring and production support
* Experience on a fast-paced, highly collaborative Agile team within a Product-oriented organization
* Advanced proficiency with Python, SQL, GitHub, Azure DevOps, Bicep/Terraform, PowerShell is required; Deep understanding and hands on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code, and configuration management automation tools is required
* Excellent communication skills, adapting to various audience types
* Effective problem-solving, analytical thinking, cloud-native and security-first mind set, documentation, communication, and presentation skills
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
