RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Data Engineer - Data Bricks in Branchville, NJ.
Summary:
We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join a data and analytics team supporting reporting and insights for our large insurance client. This role is focused on building modern, scalable data solutions using Azure Databricks, while helping transition legacy processes from Informatica PowerCenter to cloud-native platforms.
Key Tasks:
* Data Engineer will design and build scalable data pipelines in Azure Databricks using PySpark
* Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and guide data solution design
* Support reporting and analytics by creating clean, reliable data sets
* As a Data Engineer, you will provide thought leadership in modernizing data engineering tools and practices
* Work closely with onshore and offshore teams in an Agile environment
REQUIREMENTS:
* 7-10 years of experience in data engineering, ideally with Informatica and Databricks
* Strong skills in SQL, PySpark, and Azure Data Services
* Experience in insurance, financial services, or a data-driven business
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Ability to work independently and deliver solutions from concept to implementation
* Experience with Netezza, Power BI, AzureML, GitHub, or Azure DevOps
* Familiarity with Agile and Scrum practices
* Knowledge of reporting tools and ML Ops a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
