RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeing a Data Engineer in Boston, MA.
Duties Include:
* Data Engineer will drive innovative, scalable solution delivery, undertaking complex changes without the need for direction of an experienced team member whilst safeguarding system stability
* Actively participate and contribute to technical discussions and code reviews
* As a Data Engineer, you share your knowledge and skills with engineers in your team and the teams around you, upskilling them and empowering them to do work that previously only you could do
* Evangelize and promote the successes and learnings of your team in formal ceremonies, such as sprint demos, as well as in casual conversation
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's or Masters in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent is required
* 8 years of experience in the domain of data engineering
* Deep expertise in Oracle PL/SQL (complex queries, stored procedures, performance tuning, and materialized views)
* Recent experience using ETL tools (Informatica preferred)
* Demonstrable experience testing PL/SQL stored procedures, ETL jobs, and other data transformations
* Experience writing database change management (CI/CD) using Liquibase or similar tools
* Experience using Python as part of ETL or data analysis is very helpful
* Experience with Agile software development processes and practices like code review, automated testing, and CI/CD
* Experience mentoring and educating others on data engineering in both 1-on-1 and group settings
* You have demonstrated effective technical leadership; You listen and ask clarifying questions; You have strong, educated, pragmatic opinions both on what we do and how we do it. You embody diversity and inclusion, taking the floor when you have information, experience, or perspective to share; Yielding to permit others to grow and allowing best of breed ideas to prevail; You communicate impediments as they arise
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
