RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is immediately seeking an experienced Data Engineer in support of our enterprise telecommunications and mass media client based in Greenwood Village, CO.
Summary:
This role bridges the gap between data science and engineering, ensuring that the predictive models developed by our data scientists are scalable, reliable, and production-ready. You'll play a key role in operationalizing models and optimizing infrastructure to support machine learning at scale.
Responsibilities:
* The Data Engineer will partner closely with data scientists to take machine learning models from development to production
* Develop scalable data pipelines and infrastructure to support real-time and batch inference
* Optimize and elevate cloud resources to ensure efficient model execution
* Tweak, refine, and troubleshoot models when needed to align with production constraints
* Monitor deployed models to ensure reliability, accuracy, and performance
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate models into applications and services
* Follow best practices in software engineering and MLOps for robust model deployment
REQUIREMENTS:
* Proficiency in SQL for data querying and transformation
* Strong Python programming skills, with a focus on data and ML workflows
* Experience with Apache Spark for large-scale data processing
* Hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., S3, EC2, Lambda, SageMaker, etc.)
* Solid understanding of machine learning concepts and how models function in production
Preferred Skills
* Experience with CI/CD pipelines and MLOps frameworks
* Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes)
* Knowledge of model monitoring, retraining strategies, and model versioning
* Prior experience in the telecommunications industry or with large-scale distributed systems
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
