RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Data Solutions Architect in Lincoln, RI.
Summary:
The client is looking for a Data Solutions Architect to support the Investments project where they want to build a central repository containing all investments data supporting operational workflows as well as analytical needs. This person will also help with standing-up a data architecture practice.
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Data Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Data/Analytics or a related field preferred or equivalent work experience
* At least 3-4 years of work experience in data management disciplines including data integration, data modeling, solutions architecture, optimization and data quality
* Previous experience in standing up a data architecture practice
* Strong experience with AWS data lake
* Warehousing solutions
* Can lead driving the solutions end to end and provide directions to engineering and other tech teams on the solutions
* Knowledge of business systems and processes and their impact on data and analytics objectives
* Ability to assess rapidly changing technologies and apply them to business needs
* Business domain, data/content and process understanding
* Understanding of the Business Intelligence, Data Engineering and Data Science and Data Governance processes and platforms
* Thorough knowledge of relational and non-relational database theory and structured query language (SQL)
* Understanding of common data architecture frameworks
* Understanding of metadata models, taxonomies and ontologies, as well as of the challenges of applying structured techniques (data modeling) to less-structured sources
* Skilled working across multiple deployment environments including cloud, on-premises and hybrid
* Adept at applying software engineering methodologies and DevOps principles to data architectures and platforms to improve the communication, integration, reuse and automation of data flows across the organization
* Exceptional analytical, quantitative and logical problem-solving abilities
* Must be highly creative, collaborative, and able to communicate effectively with IT and business
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
