RESPONSIBILITIES:
A client with Kforce is seeking a Business Analyst to join their team for a remote opportunity.
Summary:
Business analysis (BA) is defined as the practice of enabling change in an enterprise by defining needs and recommending solutions that deliver value to stakeholders (International Institute of Business Analysis). This business-focused Business Analyst works closely with teams within the organization to establish initiatives and strategies aimed at improving revenue and/or optimizing costs, performing analysis to understand, modify, and improve on business operations. A strong candidate will have experience in banking and finance, a good understanding of regulatory and reporting requirements as well as experience in forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis combined with understanding of key performance indicators.
Essential Functions:
* Performs in areas of requirements elicitation and modeling, analysis, problem solving and
artifact production
* Documents and analyzes requirements to understand the business need
* Gains agreement on how to meet the business need to achieve the best results for the business
* Ensures requirements are understood by stakeholders to ensure they are complete, correct and suitable to ensure delivery of a solution that meets the business need
* Utilizes formal and informal written communication methods to communicate requested
changes
* Analyzes and translates business requirements to identify impacts, trends, and gaps
* Facilitates meetings, and presentations for diverse audiences
* Leads interactive and controlled meetings to elicit business processes and requirements
* Provides thought leadership and demonstrates fluency in understanding business processes
* Assesses business processes, uncovers inefficiencies, and recommends solutions
* Owns and delivers multiple projects, on an ongoing, long-term and ad-hoc basis
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in a business-related field, or combination of education and relevant experience
* Business Analyst certification (e.g. IIBA-ECBA, PMI-PBA) preferred, but not required
* 2 years of business analysis experience
* Software - SQL, Tableu or PowerBI
* MS Excel - Vlookups, pivot tables, etc.
* Understanding of and experience with business analysis techniques, standards and best
practices
* Demonstrates excellent relationship management, communication, teamwork, influence and
leadership
* Detail oriented, analytical problem solver who can identify and solve complex problems
* Self-motivated; can work independently as well as in a team environment
* Works well under pressure, with professional demeanor, using good judgment, negotiation,
listening, diplomacy and tact
* Continually questions the status quo, identifies areas in need of improvement and recognizes
inefficiencies
* Strong knowledge of business structure and finance; Strong Excel skills
* Able to perform stakeholder analysis, cost-benefit analysis, processes modeling
* High-level understanding of networks, databases, and other technology
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
