RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Healthcare Data Architect in Louisville, KY.
Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Architect to join our team on a contract basis. This role focuses on healthcare data architecture, requiring expertise in integrating financial and clinical data. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who can lead the development of a unified data model, provide thought leadership, and optimize our technology stack to support healthcare operations and analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and implement a consistent data model to establish a single source of truth for healthcare data
* Lead data integration efforts, ensuring accurate matching and normalization of data post-source replication
* Collaborate with business intelligence teams to improve reporting capabilities and KPI visibility
* Drive strategic decisions on data architecture and enhancements to the technology stack
* Ensure robust data governance, security, and lineage across all data sources
* Transition data infrastructure from Snowflake to BigQuery while optimizing overall architecture
* Partner with senior architects and cross-functional teams to meet project objectives
REQUIREMENTS:
* 10 years of experience in data architecture, with a significant focus on healthcare data
* Expertise in enterprise data modeling within cloud environments such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or Azure
* Strong understanding of healthcare data, including claims, financial, and clinical datasets
* Proven experience in data integration, normalization, and governance
* Familiarity with HIPAA and PII compliance regulations
* Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills
* Ability to work effectively in both independent and remote team settings
Preferred:
* Hands-on experience in healthcare data architecture at organizations like United Healthcare, Humana, or Cerner/Oracle Health
* Deep knowledge of integrating financial and clinical data, including diagnosis codes and claims file types (e.g., X12)
* Familiarity with FHIR APIs and other healthcare-specific data standards

Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
