RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Dallas, TX that is seeking an experienced Senior Manager to lead their IT Asset Management (ITAM) efforts, with a primary focus on hardware asset management (HAM) and a transition into software asset management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing asset management processes, including tracking devices, setting up recovery processes, and ensuring proper data security for critical hardware assets.
Responsibilities:
* Manage and oversee hardware asset management processes, including inventory, deployment, recovery, and provisioning of devices (e.g., mobile phones, hotspots, 2-way radios)
* Collaborate with the team to track and manage 30k daily assets, ensuring effective asset lifecycle management
* Oversee desktop support activities, including renovations and the reinstallation of equipment for new builds/expansions
* Take advantage of new ServiceNow updates to enhance workflows and streamline processes within the asset management team
* Move into the software asset management space, developing processes to track and manage software assets
* Lead and mentor the hardware and desktop teams, setting clear goals and objectives aligned with business priorities
* Act as a subject matter expert in ITAM processes and provide guidance to junior team members to identify skill gaps and provide learning opportunities
* Work closely with systems and network teams to ensure seamless integration of asset management systems
* Drive the shift from a transactional to a service-oriented mindset within the organization, ensuring clear communication and effective leadership
REQUIREMENTS:
* Strong experience in IT asset management, with a focus on hardware asset management and eventual transition to software asset management
* Proven leadership experience, ideally in a management or project management role within IT service operations
* Experience with ServiceNow and its asset management capabilities, particularly with new updates and workflow optimization
* Strong communication, self-awareness, and team-building skills, with the ability to mentor and guide teams to success
* Familiarity with tracking and managing large volumes of assets (30k daily assets)
* Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including systems, network, and security teams
Work Schedule:
* 1 day a week remote (flexible on the day)
* On-site team oversight required every day
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
