Kforce has a client that is seeking a Java Architect in Sandy, UT.
Summary:
Our IT department is seeking an experienced Java professional to join our team as a Senior Applications Architect. This full-time, exempt role is based at our headquarters in Sandy, Utah. We're looking for a candidate with deep Java expertise, a commitment to excellence in software development, and a proven ability to deliver robust, scalable solutions.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Java Architect will design, build, and sustain Java applications that meet high standards for quality and performance
* Create solutions by transforming complex specifications and requirements into clear, maintainable architectures
* Uphold and optimize application quality, accuracy, and efficiency
* Identify and resolve bugs and bottlenecks to enhance performance
* As a Java Architect, you will foster code quality, maintain structure, and implement automation where possible
* Guide and mentor junior developers, fostering growth and skill development
REQUIREMENTS:
* A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
* 5 years of hands-on experience in Java development
* Advanced expertise in Spring Core, Spring Boot, and Java 17
* Knowledge of both imperative and functional programming techniques
* Strong foundation in software design patterns and architectural principles
* Proficiency in SQL and database architecture
* Exceptional communication and customer service skills for internal and external client interactions
Preferred Expertise:
* Experience working with RabbitMQ
* Familiarity with Enterprise Integration Patterns
* Knowledge of DevOps tools and practices, including Docker, Kubernetes, and Bamboo
* Exposure to cloud platforms like Azure or AWS

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
