RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Java Software Engineer in Smithfield, RI.
Summary:
Your primary focus will be as a member on an Agile/Scrum team that partners closely with Business Tribes. Aligned with business priorities, you will be passionate about re-architecting legacy capabilities with a domain driven design for deployment to a cloud environment. Your skills as a great teammate are vital as you join a highly functioning scrum team in an agile work environment. You jump in and assist when help is needed and push to get the stories completed as you finish sprints and add valuable experiences for our customers. You will have clear and effective communication and will share your ideas and opinions as we look to innovate and improve our platforms. You will bring a growth mentality to work every day as you continue to learn new technologies and skills which you share with your scrum teammates. You will ask for feedback and put goals in place to help improve your own skill set. You will use your data security skills to keep our customers information safe.
Duties:
* Actively participates in formal reviews of architecture, design, and code
* Publishes clear, concise, and detailed design documentation
* Provides support for software releases into production environments
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technology field
* 6 years of software development experience on business critical, enterprise wide applications
* Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining high-volume transactional systems
* Experience in developing cloud native applications in Azure/AWS
* Experience with Agile and Scrum Methodologies is appreciated
* You have sophisticated development skills in Java using Spring Boot Framework
* You bring experience with DevOps, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery using Azure
* You have experience developing software utilizing relational databases (Oracle and SQL Server)
* You bring experience with Source Control Systems such as GIT
* You bring an understanding of Microservices Architecture and domain driven design patterns
* You have experience with Test automation for unit, functional and non-functional testing (Postman, SOATEST, SOASTA, Cucumber)
* You have ability to understand and adapt to changing business priorities and technology advancements
* You have ability to develop technical artifacts based on analysis of business and systems requirements
* You bring strong organizational skills coupled with effective written and verbal communication skills
* You have excellent collaboration skills to work with multiple teams in the organization
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
